5.3.2

SDG 5: Gender Equality

5.3.2  Indicator: Policy for women applications and entry

UMPSA is firmly committed to the principles of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) in all aspects of university life, including student recruitment, admission, and participation. The university ensures that all applications are considered fairly and transparently, based solely on academic merit and relevant admission criteria, without discrimination on the basis of gender, ethnicity, religion, socioeconomic background, or disability.

While UMPSA does not have a separate policy specifically addressing women’s applications or entry, the EDI Policy provides a comprehensive framework that guarantees equal opportunities for all individuals. Female students are encouraged and supported to pursue studies across all disciplines, including those traditionally underrepresented by women.

UMPSA’s admission system is open and inclusive, with no restrictions or limitations placed on female applicants. All applicants are treated equitably, and the university actively promotes diversity by fostering an environment that values respect, inclusivity, and equal participation.

Through the implementation of the EDI Policy, UMPSA reinforces its institutional commitment to fair access, gender equality, and empowerment, ensuring that every student—regardless of background or gender—has the opportunity to succeed and contribute meaningfully to the university community.

The following information outlines the admission policy and eligibility criteria, which apply regardless of gender:

  1. The admission requirements do not refer to gender, whether male or female.
  2. Open to all applicants who meet the general and specific programme requirements.
