STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL FOR 2025/2026
The Student Representative Council of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) is the officially recognised student union representing both undergraduate and postgraduate students at the university level. It consists of 28 students elected through an official student voting process during the Student Representative Council Election. For the 2025/2026 session, the UMPSA Student Representative Council is led by Adam Al-Wafiy bin Muhammad Zailani from the Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering Technology.
The Student Representative Council comprises three main departments, namely:
- Department of Communication & Corporate Affairs
- Department of Student Development
- Department of Student Services
The swearing‑in ceremony of the Student Representative Council Session 2025/2026 was officiated by the Vice‑Chancellor of UMPSA, Professor Dr. Yatimah Alias, which underscores the university’s official recognition and support of the democratic student election process. Professor Dr. Yatimah Alias highlighted that the election process reflects a mature and progressive leadership culture among students and reaffirmed the university’s confidence in students’ ability to manage campus democracy transparently.
STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL ELECTION FOR 2025/2026

The Student Representative Council at UMPSA is democratically elected every year. Students actively participate in the elections, voting for candidates to fill general and faculty seats. The results are officially announced and recognized by university authorities, ensuring transparent student leadership selection
In the 2025/2026 session, 53 candidates contested 8 general seats and 19 faculty seats. 8,547 students participated, giving a voter turnout of 63.36%, demonstrating student involvement in the election process. The results were announced in the presence of Professor Ts. Dr. Mohd Rusllim Mohamed, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni), who congratulated the new MPP leadership.
NATIONAL STUDENT CONSULTATIVE COUNCIL
Adam Al-Wafiy bin Muhammad Zailani, who currently serves as the President of the Student Representative Council (Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar – MPP) at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah for the 2025/2026 session, has been appointed as the Executive Secretary of the Majlis Perundingan Pelajar Kebangsaan (MPPK) for 2026. This position is a highly prestigious national-level student leadership role, responsible for coordinating the activities of student representatives from universities across Malaysia.
