Introduction
The greening of campus is among the initiatives that are given emphasis by Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP). It is in line with the Government of Malaysia's policy that has already implemented various initiatives aimed at spreading environment-friendly practise and green technology application in the country. The 2012 Environment Performance Index (EPI) Biennial Report by Yale University showed that Malaysia was on the right track in its green technology development, ranking 25th out of the 132 countries in the 2012 EPI, as compared to 54th in 2010.
UMP starts participating in the UI Green Metric rating in 2015. It also acts as a catalyst to the greening initiative and data collection for all the university's activities and initiatives. There are seven main clusters:

UMP's greening initiative is divided into seven main zones:

2. Research
3. Man-made Wetland
4. Orchard
5. Rare Plants
6. Bio-Aromatic Park
7. Natural Forest
