Waste treatment and recycling activities are major factors in creating a sustainable environment. The activities of university and students on campus will produce a lot of waste, therefore recycling, and waste treatment programs become priority to the university. Therefore, UMPSA has 2 Recycle Centre UMPSA, one for each campuses.

UMPSA is highly focused on implementing programs related to the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). This program also aligns with the initiatives carried out under Ekosistem Kondusif Sektor Awam (EKSA). Various programs have been organized to ensure the reduction of paper and plastic usage on campus.

We also doing monitoring on waste produce in both campus. All the department must key-in their waste collection from recycle/ compose material, disposal to landfill data and chemical transfer program and key in in the Green Campus Dashboard.

To create awareness among UMPSA community the importance of recycle, since 2019, UMPSA’s Library has initiate Waste4Fine Program to encourage students to recycle plastic bottle. Beside that UMPSA has initiate varoious program related to support 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) Program in the campus.
