Message from the VC

"UMP's community strives to introduce sustainable technology and practices to society, aiming not only to educate but also to serve as role models regarding sustainability principles. UMP has now made remarkable progress in strengthening sustainable practices through various university programs.

In its efforts to achieve the Sustainable Campus Development Goal in the 5C(2) Plan, UMP has successfully reached an impressive 83.84 percent progress in sustainable campus development by the Fourth Quarter (Q4) of 2022, exceeding the previous target of 74 percent. This demonstrates UMP's commitment to developing a sustainable and resilient campus.

Therefore, in 2023, the Sustainable Campus Initiative will be intensified with various activities such as tree planting, energy and resource conservation, and carbon reduction within UMP. This initiative is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 7).

UMP's community must continue to collaborate and work diligently to strengthen the culture of sustainable practices at the university to protect the environment and contribute to sustainable development."
