DIGITAL SUSTAINABILITY PLATFORM

UMPSA utilizes Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to enhance the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of sustainability initiatives across the university. Through digital platforms, data management systems, and online reporting tools, UMPSA improves operational efficiency, supports evidence-based decision-making, and enables effective tracking of sustainability performance. The integration of ICT also promotes transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement in achieving the university’s sustainability goals.

1. Attendance Application System (Android & iOS)

UMPSA has implemented a mobile Attendance Application System for Android and iOS devices to support efficient and paperless attendance management. The system enables students, staff, and participants to record attendance digitally, reducing the need for printed attendance sheets while improving data accuracy, accessibility, and administrative efficiency. This digital initiative reflects UMPSA’s commitment to leveraging technology to support sustainable campus operations and environmental conservation.

2. E-Meeting

UMPSA utilizes an e-Meeting platform to support sustainable and paperless operations. Meeting agendas, minutes, and supporting documents are accessed digitally through laptops, tablets, or computers, eliminating the need for printed materials. This initiative helps reduce paper consumption, improves document accessibility, and enhances operational efficiency while contributing to the university’s environmental sustainability goals.

3. UMPSA’s Portal & Email

UMPSA leverages the E-Comm system and email platforms to support paperless communication and administrative processes across the university. By replacing conventional paper-based memos, letters, and forms with digital alternatives, UMPSA reduces paper consumption while improving operational efficiency. Staff also utilize E-Comm for leave applications, leave management, and various administrative transactions, contributing to a more sustainable, efficient, and environmentally responsible workplace.

4. LibGO UMPSA Application

LibGO UMPSA is the official mobile application developed by the UMPSA Library to enhance and digitalize library services for the campus community. Through the application, students and staff can conveniently access various library resources and services via their smartphones, reducing reliance on physical counters and printed materials. This initiative supports UMPSA’s sustainability commitment by promoting paperless operations, improving service efficiency, and advancing digital transformation across the university.

5. e-CoILIB

The UMPSA Library Electronic Collections (eColLIB) serves as a digital repository that provides online access to theses, dissertations, Undergraduate Project Papers (PSM), archival materials, and other academic collections. By enabling students and staff to access full-text resources electronically, eColLIB reduces reliance on printed documents and supports a paperless learning environment. This initiative enhances knowledge sharing, improves accessibility to academic resources, and promotes sustainable and efficient library services through digital technology.

6. Continuing Professional Development System

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is an ongoing learning initiative aimed at enhancing knowledge, strengthening professional competencies, and supporting lifelong learning. Through various training programmes, workshops, seminars, and skill development activities, CPD enables individuals to continuously improve their expertise and adapt to evolving professional requirements. The programme reflects UMPSA’s commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, professional excellence, and sustainable human capital development.

7. Electronic Document Management System (EDMS)

UMPSA utilizes the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) to facilitate staff applications, payment processing, and approval workflows through a centralized digital platform. By replacing conventional paper-based processes, EDMS enhances administrative efficiency, improves document accessibility, and streamlines decision-making. This digital initiative supports UMPSA’s sustainability agenda by reducing paper consumption and promoting environmentally responsible workplace practices.

8. Transport Reservation System

UMPSA provides a Transport Reservation System to facilitate efficient vehicle booking and management for staff. The system streamlines transportation requests, improves scheduling efficiency, and enhances resource allocation across the university. By optimizing vehicle usage and reducing administrative delays, this digital platform supports UMPSA’s sustainability efforts through better operational efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
