Elements of Green Building Implementation as Reflected in All Construction and Renovation Policies
In 2024, UMPSA implements comprehensive green building elements across all construction and renovation projects, incorporating rainwater harvesting systems, natural ventilation, daylighting strategies, and certified energy management through registered Electrical Energy Managers (REEM). The university utilizes innovative recycled materials including internally-developed G-Bricks from industrial waste and converted shipping containers for office facilities, while maintaining continuous building performance monitoring through SEDA's energy tracking systems to ensure optimal environmental and operational efficiency.
[1] RAIN WATER HARVESTING
[2] NATURAL VENTILATION all of our buildings are equipped with a natural ventilation option rather than air conditioner, example each room or need to have a window.
[3] FULL NATURAL DAY-LIGHTING - Window at each room to allow direct sunlight.

Existence of Building Energy Manager
Registered Electrical Energy Manager, REEM certified by Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia.
[5] VENTILATION BRICKS
Ventilation bricks or Air bricks – also known as vent bricks or ventilation bricks - are traditionally made of clay, and most still are today. The installation of air bricks allows air to flow under the floorboards, helping to regulate temperature and minimise the formation of condensation.
