New and Pre-Loved Clothes for UMP Students
Almost one container of children and adult clothes and other essential items were collected from Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) community and the public under the Campus Pantry Raya sales and charity drive held at the compound of the Department of Student Affairs and Alumni.
The initiative, which entered into its second year, was organised by the Department of Student Affairs and Alumni with the support from UMP Women Association (Matahari) and Student Representative Council (MPP).
The objective was to help bring cheers to students before the Hari Raya Aidil Fitri celebrations and help them to get new and pre-loved clothes for free.
Visitors who came to the charity drive also did their bit by donating between RM1 and RM10 for UMP Campus Pantry fund that would be utilised to buy essential items for the students.
The one-day programme was opened to all the students and public living nearby and that they could get the clothes or other items for themselves or their families.
Some 1,000 people came and a sum of RM2,000 was collected for the fund.
