DIGITAL LITERACY PROGRAMMES
UMPSA continuously strengthens digital literacy and Artificial Intelligence (AI) competency among students, academic staff, and administrative personnel through a wide range of structured programmes throughout 2025. These initiatives include workshops, outreach activities, institutional training, and digital innovation programmes designed to enhance ICT skills and support modern educational practices.
The university also promotes the responsible and ethical use of digital technologies through academic workshops, AI exposure sessions, and digital classroom innovations, including the use of AI tools for academic writing and learning support. In addition, UMPSA’s continuous professional development framework provides training in areas such as data analytics, cybersecurity, Microsoft applications, and digital learning innovation, ensuring sustained digital competency and alignment with emerging technological trends.
1. Practical Writing Approaches Workshop
UMPSA organized the Practical Writing Approaches Workshop to strengthen AI literacy and digital competencies in academic research and scientific writing. The workshop equipped participants with practical skills in utilizing Generative AI tools for efficient, ethical, and impactful academic writing. The initiative promoted responsible AI adoption in higher education while enhancing research productivity and scholarly excellence.
2. English and AI Learning CSR Outreach Program
UMPSA empowered secondary school students with English communication skills and AI literacy through a community outreach and digital learning programme. The initiative promoted responsible AI usage, digital competencies, and innovative learning approaches among young learners. The programme enhanced students' confidence, communication skills, and awareness of emerging digital technologies.
3. AI and ChatGPT for Teachers Course
UMPSA, in collaboration with MOSTI, organized the AI and ChatGPT for Teachers Course to enhance educators’ digital competencies and readiness to integrate Artificial Intelligence technologies into teaching and learning. The programme provided practical exposure to AI and ChatGPT applications, enabling teachers to create more interactive, innovative, and efficient learning environments. Through hands-on training, participants developed skills in utilizing AI-powered tools to improve lesson planning, content development, and classroom engagement.

4. UMPSA Drives Ethical Artificial Intelligence Initiative
UMPSA organized AI Week under the theme “To Create Awareness for Responsible AI to the Students and Community” to promote ethical, responsible, and informed use of Artificial Intelligence among students, educators, and the wider community. The initiative fostered awareness of AI ethics, responsible technology adoption, and the integration of digital innovation into higher education and community development. By engaging university staff, postgraduate students, educators, and external agencies, UMPSA strengthened collaborative efforts to build an informed and ethically responsible digital society.

5. UMPSA Official Training Calendar 2025 on Digital Literacy Programs
Through its 2025 Staff Training Calendar, UMPSA systematically enhanced AI literacy and digital competencies among academic and administrative staff, supporting institutional digital transformation, innovation, and lifelong learning.
