STUDENT REPRESENTATION IN UNIVERSITY GOVERNING BODY

Student participation in university governance is essential for promoting inclusive decision-making and ensuring that the voices of the student body are heard. At UMPSA, student representatives are included in the university’s governing body, allowing them to contribute to discussions on academic policies, administrative matters, and campus development initiatives. This involvement strengthens transparency, encourages collaboration between students and university leadership, and ensures that decisions reflect the needs and perspectives of the entire university community.
According to the Senate’s Terms of Reference, the Senate oversees academic policies, curriculum development, research initiatives, and quality assurance processes. The inclusion of student members allows them to actively participate in discussions, provide feedback, and contribute to decisions that affect academic standards, campus policies, and overall student welfare.
