STUDENT UNION

The campus of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) experienced a vibrant atmosphere of democracy during the Student Representative Council Election (PMPP) for the 2023/2024 session. Held at various locations, including the UMPSA Gambang Campus Sports Complex and Multipurpose Hall in Pekan, the voting session lasted from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The election saw the participation of 53 candidates, with 51 advancing to the next stage. Four parties competed for general and faculty seats: Student Revolution, Student Democrats, Student Aspiration, and Independent. Additionally, seven sessions of Student Dialogues at the UMPSA Gambang Campus Sports Complex enriched the election process with discussions analyzing the election from diverse perspectives, including those of the student resident community, academic members, former council representatives, and students.
