SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT CENTRE
Sustainable Development Centre
Sustainability Development Centre SDG/ESG, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Chancellery Department was established on 1 December 2023. The goals of establishing the Sustainability Development Centre (SDC) are as follows:
- To be a responsible center in ensuring that the university's sustainability agenda can be achieved without neglecting technical and vocational elements.
- Aims to orient the elements of sustainability in the campus through monitoring the implementation of sustainability initiatives that are being carried out and that will be implemented.
Functions
- Supporting the UMPSA Sustainable Campus Blueprint 2022-2025.
- Promoting and empowering sustainability/ESG initiatives at UMPSA.
- Providing exposure to sustainability/ESG programs for UMPSA staff.
- Establishing synergy with institutions, organizations, and communities to strengthen sustainability/ESG initiatives.
Objectives
Responsible for planning and coordinating UMPSA's sustainability/ESG programs.
Vision
To be a comprehensive and competitive sustainability/ESG development reference center nationally and internationally.
Mission
- Combining and highlighting expertise in the field of sustainability/ESG at UMPSA
- Creating a synergistic network of UMPSA's sustainability/ESG expertise and external expertise (institutions, organizations and communities)
- Coordinating UMPSA's sustainability initiatives
- Offering consultancy services to institutions, industries and communities related to sustainability/ESG
- Conducting sustainability/ESG-based research studies with institutions, industry and community.
