ACCESS TO SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH-CARE SERVICES

The Health Scheme is a health service facility provided by the university to scheme holders. Scheme holders are students who qualify according to the specified criteria. This facility is provided to UMPSA students with the aim of ensuring the welfare of students in terms of health can be optimized to support student learning while at UMPSA. It is also to ensure that the health status of students can be comprehensively monitored by the University Health Center. This scheme covers various aspects of student health such as outpatient treatment, antenatal care, emergency treatment, dental treatment, referral to government hospitals, ambulance services, and payment claims subject to the specified conditions.

UMPSA provides comprehensive health services to students through the University Health Centre (PKU) to support their well-being and learning. These services include outpatient treatment, dental care, emergency care, referral to government hospitals, ambulance services, as well as sexual and reproductive health services, including education, screening, counseling, and referrals when needed. In addition, PKU organizes health promotion programs and awareness campaigns to ensure students are informed and able to adopt safe and responsible health practices.

REPRODUCTIVE AND SOCIAL HEALTH EDUCATION PROGRAM (PEKERTI @ UMPSA)

UMPSA implements the Reproductive and Social Health Education Program (PEKERTI) to enhance awareness and knowledge of reproductive health, sexual well-being, and social responsibility among students. The program is designed to provide a holistic approach to health education, combining information, preventive strategies, and life skills to empower students to make informed decisions.
