UMP Conservation Projects
To date UMP has 13 conservation projects as display at below table. Which is include Rimba Lestari , Kanopi Hutan (will be launching on December 2021), Deer, Goose, Fruit Orchard, Extinct Fruit Arboretum, Bio aromatic Arboretum, Wetland, Tasik B, Laman Cendekia, Kelapa Mataq, Mulching, Napier.
Kepala Mataq project is a coconut trees which suitable for living on sandy soil in accordance with the soil structure on the UMP Pekan campus. These trees are widely planted near the wetland to complement the wetland landscape.
We are doing Mulching to our plants which is this technique generally used to save water, suppress weeds, and improve the soil around plants but it also gives your garden a neat, tidy appearance and can reduce the amount of time spent on tasks such as watering and weeding.
To reducing cost and gives variety to our Deer food our team plant Pennisetum Purpurium or Napier.
