SUSTAINABILITY STUDENT LED SOCIETY
The objective of a Student Sustainable Club at a university is to promote environmental awareness, sustainability practices, and eco-friendly initiatives within the campus community. The club aims to engage students in activities that foster responsible consumption, conservation of resources, and environmental stewardship. Through events, campaigns, and partnerships, the club encourages the university population to adopt sustainable lifestyles, reduce their carbon footprint, and contribute to global environmental goals.
At UMPSA, sustainability is a key focus, and the club actively contributes to this cause. This club not only raises awareness about environmental issues but also creates a positive impact through their engaging and hands-on activities.

Universities are hubs for knowledge and innovation. However, with a large amount of waste generated within universities, it becomes the university's obligation to enhance UMPSA community's commitment to minimizing waste while preserving the environment.
"Trash2Cash" program, designed to engage students in sustainable practices by collecting recyclable waste. The program, which includes collaborations with the Faculty of Industrial Management and the Campus Sustainability Committee, encourages waste separation and recycling across campus. Students have been actively involved in sorting recyclables, with the collected waste being sent to the UMPSA Compost Centre.
The program has successfully collected 267.3 kg of recyclable materials, raising funds that were donated to the Palestinian Care Fund. Rewards were given to students who contributed the most waste, fostering a sense of collective responsibility. Future plans include integrating technology, such as a mobile app for efficient recycling tracking, to enhance waste management efforts.
This initiative not only helps reduce waste but also provides valuable learning experiences for students, promoting environmental sustainability and contributing to UMPSA's long-term goal of a greener campus.
CSR Zoo Keeperku Program
The club has successfully conducted the Zoo Keeperku Program, a meaningful CSR initiative aimed at promoting wildlife conservation and fostering a deeper connection between the community and nature at Zoo Negara, Kuala Lumpur. The program provided a unique opportunity for participants to learn about the critical role of zookeepers and the efforts required to care for and protect animals. Through this initiative, it successfully raised awareness about biodiversity and emphasized the importance of preserving endangered species.
The Zoo Keeperku Program inspired positive action and created lasting memories for everyone involved. By combining education with hands-on experiences, the program encouraged community engagement and strengthened support for local zoos and conservation efforts. Together, participants and organizers made a meaningful impact while celebrating the wonders of wildlife.
