Drinking Water 2024

UMPSA has implemented a campus-wide initiative to provide free drinking water facilities across both the Pekan and Gambang campuses. Multiple drinking water fountains and water dispensers are installed in most of the buildings in UMPSA such as academic buildings, administrative offices, student residential colleges, cafeterias, and sports facilities. All drinking water dispensers supplied and maintained by appointed vendors under an official service agreement to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and water quality safety. This initiative also helps reduce the dependency on bottled water, supporting UMPSA’s waste reduction and plastic-free campus campaigns. It also ensures that all members of the university community have convenient access to clean and safe drinking water at no cost. In 2024, a total of 118 free drinking water dispensers has been installed (75 units in Pekan Campus and 43 units in Gambang Campus) as the figure shown below.
