Tawaran Biasiswa Yayasan UMP Bagi Pelajar Ijazah Sarjana Penyelidikan Tahun 2021 Kini Dibuka
3 Disember 2021 - Biasiswa Yayasan UMP kini dibuka kepada semua pelajar tempatan Ijazah Sarjana Penyelidikan (Sepenuh Masa). Borang permohonan yang telah lengkap hendaklah dihantar sebelum atau pada tarikh tutup permohonan pada 17 Disember 2021.
52 children receive new school items
PEKAN, January 9, 2021 - “We are overwhelmed when the children have the opportunity to get new school uniforms through this donation,” said the mother of seven children, Nur Shahidah Adizan, 39 who was present with her son choosing school items in the Back to School programme in Mydin Kuantan recently.
The program was jointly organised by the UMP Women’s Association (MATAHARI), UMP Advanced Education, Centre of Industry and Community Network (ICoN) and Centre for Advanced Tropical Bioscience (Biotropic Centre).
UMP Volunteer Squad extends assistance
PEKAN, 22 January 2021 - Sympathise with the flood-ravaged houses and those affected by distress has prompted a total of 209 volunteers among the staff of Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) to contribute to this humanitarian mission.
Upon receiving the volunteer search notification from the UMP Disaster Management Steering Committee (JKBB), Abd. Latip Haji Deris who is the President of the UMP Support Staff Union (KESUMP) with his wife, Jamiaah Noor Rahmad from the Centre for Information & Communication Technology (PTMK) decided to join the volunteer squad.
Yayasan UMP terima infak 32,000 naskhah buku bernilai RM200,000
PEKAN, 11 Mac 2021 - Yayasan UMP menerima sumbangan infak sebanyak 32,000 naskhah buku latihan Kelas al-Quran dan Fardhu Ain (KAFA) bernilai RM200,000.00 hasil kerjasama pihak SME Corporation Malaysia dan Fateh Resources Holdings Sdn. Bhd. yang merupakan pengedar tunggal buku-buku agama KAFA serta penerbitan Syarikat Fargoes Sdn. Bhd.
Lebih 4,000 orang pelajar prasekolah dan sekolah rendah sekitar negeri Pahang khususnya di daerah Pekan bakal menerima manfaat sepanjang tempoh pelaksanaan Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan Pemulihan (PKPP) ini.
Wakaf Kolej Kediaman Mawardah
PEKAN, Julai 2021 - Kolej Kediaman Mawaddah adalah satu penempatan atau kediaman yang diwujudkan untuk memberi perkhidmatan perlindungan kepada Mahasiswa dalam kalangan anak yatim atau Asnaf. Ia akan dibangunan diatas sebidang tanah seluas 2.0 ekar di Universiti Malaysia Pahang, Kuala Pahang, Pekan. Kolej Kediaman ini diinisiatifkan oleh Pengurusan Universiti dan telah diluluskan permohonan wakaf oleh Majlis Ugama dan Adat Resam Melayu Pahang (MUIP) pada September 2016.
Kolaborasi strategik UMP dan 4 industri taja biasiswa kecemerlangan LI
KUANTAN, 22 November 2021 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) menjalinkan kerjasama strategik dengan empat industri dalam meningkatkan kebolehpasaran graduan dengan penawaran Biasiswa Kecemerlangan Latihan Industri untuk pelajar UMP.
Empat syarikat itu ialah Nextgreen Pulp & Paper Sdn. Bhd., Chua Ming Hooi Construction Sdn. Bhd., Hardex Corporation Sdn. Bhd. dan EC Excel Wire Sdn. Bhd.
50 joined Post-Flood Volunteer Mission in Mentakab
MENTAKAB, 26 December 2021 - Sludge and muddy water were like an ocean of ‘teh tarik’ in several flood locations in Mentakab. Various stories were shared by the residents when they realised that the flood water had hit the roofs of their houses in Taman Mentakab Indah last Saturday.
The area has been hit by floods several times; however, according to the UMP student who is studying at the Faculty of Industrial Management (FIM), Mohamad Hakimi Mohd Nor who has lived with his family for several years here said, the disaster this time is quite unusual.
UMP sends volunteers to focus on clean-up operations and aid distribution
MENTAKAB, 27 December 2021 - Focusing on clean-up operations and aid distribution, 100 Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) volunteers spent two days to help clean up students’ houses and neighbourhoods in Taman Mentakab Indah which were badly affected by the recent floods.
Realising the problem of water disruption in flood-affected locations, UMP also brought seven water tanks belonging to the university to carry out cleaning work.
More than 300 UMP volunteers help clean up flood waste
KUANTAN, 28 December 2021 - The post-flood volunteer activities that took place recently at Perumahan Awam Kos Rendah (PAKR) Sungai Pandan Taman Bukit Rangin Aman focused on cleaning in the house and the vicinity due to the pile of rubbish in front of the house which risks threatening the health of the residents.
Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) volunteers participated in the Paya Besar Post-Flood Relief Mission which was also joined by more than 300 students and staff, including from UMP subsidiary, UMP Advanced Education and UMP Holdings Group, IHLs, NGOs, government agencies, Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) and also the local community.
Kembara UMP Prihatin serves Kapit community
KAPIT, 24 August 2022 - Kembara Prihatin Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) organised by Yayasan UMP in collaboration with Institut Kemahiran MARA (IKM), Bintulu successfully realised the concept of #KeluargaMalaysia when 52 volunteers served the community of Rumah Panjang Diau Anak Lumut Pulau Raya in Kapit from 19 to 25 August 2022.
The participants comprised 30 staff and students of IKM Bintulu and 22 UMP staff, students and alumni. The programme included community services, education promotion, innovation competitions, technology demonstrations (Arduino), development of modern agricultural projects, fertigation systems and hydroponic systems equipped with solar energy, solar lights, culture, sports and motivation.
