BENGKEL PENYEDIAAN BONGKAH CENDAWAN DARI SISA NANAS
12 April 2021: This workshop was held to position FSTI as a reference center for LPNM for the use of pineapple waste as a growth medium for mushrooms. It also provides added value to the use of pineapple waste and helps pineapple farmers throughout Malaysia in waste management in the pineapple industry. In addition, it also plays a role in helping to improve skills & knowledge among mushroom farmers in the preparation of gray mushroom blocks by using pineapple waste powder.
ANDROID MOBILE APP DEVELOPEMENT FOR BEGINNERS
4 - 5 September 2021: This training was conducted for 2 days to give exposure to participants how to build applications using Google Websites and Thunkable to build applications without using programming code. The target participants are high school students, SPM graduates, school teachers and small entrepreneurs.
KINDY TALK: USING TECHNOLOGY FOR ONLINE LEARNING
18 September 2021: The programme managed to get the participants excited to create interactive activities to be conducted in synchronous online classes with the children, something they had not done before.
KURSUS JANGKA PENDEK - SYLLABUS FOR CONSTRUCTION DRAWING AND INTERPRETATION
8 November 2021: Malaysian Government has launched the ECRL project, a distance of 640km across several states on the East Coast Region of Malaysia and Port Klang, on the West Coast of Malaysia. The project will be operated by Malaysia Rail Link (MRLSB) and China Communications Construction Company (CCCC). The government estimates that 80,000 jobs will be created from the project. In an effort to meet the employment needs in the railway industry, UMP in collaboration with ECRL operating companies, MRLSB and CCCC has held a training program to train trainees who will work in the ECRL project in the East Coast Region. The training conducted at UMP Gambang covers theory and practical skills in conducting site testing in the fields of Soil & amp; Geotechnics, Structures and Materials. To facilitate communication with the main contractor of the project based in China, the trainees are also equipped with a basic course in Mandarin.

TRAINING API 580 RISK BASED INSPECTION (RBI)
31 December 2021: Industry in Malaysia needs to carry out inspections to ensure the safety and reliability of each operating facility. Risk Based Inspection (RBI) is a method based on API standards for the industry to develop a plan as a step in risk management of related equipment. In the development of this plan there are two risk determination factors (high, medium, low) which are Probability of Failure (PoF) and Consequences of Failure (CoF).
This training is a training related to RBI Series I which contains four (4) modules namely i) General Introduction of RBI, ii) Planning the RBI Assessment, Data & Information Collection, iii) Introduction to PoF, CoF and Risk Determination iv) Risk Management, Re-Assessment & Updating.
WORKSHOP ON OPTIMIZATION FOR INDUSTRY
14 December 2021: This training involves five (5) participants from the Mass Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn. Bhd., Polyplastics Asia Pacific Sdn. Bhd., Kerry Group and A. Sani & Associates Sdn. Bhd. This training is held to provide industry-related training on the topic of Optimization to provide useful benefits to industry workers in the future. Participants were also introduced to several optimization-related software for industry workers including TORA, Lingo and CPLEX.
