UMP Food Bank – aids for undergraduates
October 2019 - Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP)’s Food Bank for Undergraduate initiative, aimed at helping to ease the cost of living incurred by students in campus as well as those outside of the campus had been well-received. The initiative was carried out by volunteers using the Food Pantry concept.
It was officially launched by Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, in conjunction with a dialogue session held with the minister at Astaka Hall, UMP Gambang Campus on October 16, 2019.
Lebih 3,000 pek makanan ‘Kasih Sayang’ diagihkan kepada pelajar
PEKAN, 29 Jun 2021 – Lebih 3,000 pek makanan ‘Kasih Sayang’ telah diagihkan kepada pelajar hasil kerjasama Jabatan Hal Ehwal Pelajar (JHEP), Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), Yayasan UMP dan Food Bank Malaysia.
Ia juga merupakan hasil usaha sama daripada Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi (KPT) dan Sekretariat Food Bank yang menyelaras bantuan Food Bank Siswa bagi membantu pelajar B40, asnaf, fakir miskin dan berkeperluan sekali gus menangani isu peningkatan kos sara hidup yang dihadapi pelajar supaya mereka lebih fokus terhadap sesi pembelajaran di kampus.
UMP Women’s Association (Matahari) distributes donations to 34 members
PAYA BESAR, 22 December 2021 - Concerned about the fate of flood victims, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Women’s Association (Matahari) distributed assistance to its 34 members affected by the flood around Kuantan.
Among the donations handed over are daily necessities and food.
The donations were presented by Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Industrial Management (FPI) and President of UMP Women’s Association (Matahari), Datin Dr. Mazita Mokhtar and several committee members of Matahari.
