50 KILAU UMP volunteers plant 400 trees in Tasik Chini
CHINI, 10 September 2022 - A total of 50 KILAU volunteers from Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), comprising students and staff of Next Green Pulp and Papers (NGPP), participated in the Tree Planting Programme in conjunction with the 100 Million Trees Planting Campaign at Tasik Chini, Pahang.
A total of 400 trees of Meranti Temak Nipis, Merawan Siput Jantan, Kasai and Batai were planted here. According to the Assistant Vice-Chancellor, Industrial and Community Collaboration Division, Associate Professor Ir. Dr. Nurul Hazlina Noordin, this programme was part of UMP’s efforts to support the tree planting campaign organised by the Pahang State Forestry Department (JPNP).
