Water-conscious planting practices

UMPSA has actively implemented water-conscious planting practices throughout its campuses in Pekan and Gambang to minimize water consumption for landscape maintenance. UMPSA actively planted drought-tolerant, native, and low-maintenance plant species that can survive with minimal watering in areas of the campus. These plants are selected for their adaptability to local climate conditions and soil characteristics, enabling long-term sustainability with minimal irrigation or fertilizer use. By employing drought-tolerant plants and efficient irrigation systems, the university reduces its water footprint while maintaining green, shaded, and environmentally balanced campuses.
